| Fees |
HKGLS is a self-financed
voluntary scheme and the operation
costs are principally recovered from
application fees.
(a) A non-returnable
application fee is payable when an
application is made. A new application
may be required for modifications
in product characteristics. A renewal
fee is payable after the second year.
For details, please refer to the application
form. Payment must be sent with the
application.
(b) A product
evaluation fee per product is payable
upon submission of application.
(c) If the
application is successful, a licence
fee is payable, starting from the
date that the Green Label licence
is awarded to applicant. This fee
is payable on a biennial basis.
(d) The figures
in (b) & (c) exclude costs of
any necessary tests or any additional
costs incurred for application.
In the event
that a production site visit is required,
the applicant shall be responsible
for the transportation expenses of
the (not more than two) assessors.

The current
Hong Kong Green Label Scheme Product
Fee schedule is given below :
1. An Application
Fee of HKD 8000 which initiates the
certification process and covers the
certification expenses.
A Renewal Application
Fee of HKD 3,800 is payable upon each
renewal of the licence for a two year
period.
2. An Evaluation
Fee which is based on the number of
product certified under the same product
criteria.

This fee covers
all expenses related to the administration
of the scheme, monitoring of compliance,
