BACKGROUND
GOal for SDGs is a new online action checklist which corresponds to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). It is intended to provide your company a self-checklist on the current, potential, positive impacts that your business activities have on the SDGs.
OBJECTIVES

An opportunity to check whether your business is contributing to the UN SDGs, and which area of the goals you can contribute further

Raise the awareness about SDGs and utilise it as a tool for organisations to practice a sustainable business

Provide a tool to recognise their current good practices, identify other potentials areas and opportunities in meeting SDGs

Set more meaningful goals and communicate more effectively about its commitment to sustainable development, while aligning with the SDGs
ELIGIBILITY
Every Green Council Corporate Member can partake “Goal for SDGs” for FREE. A fact sheet will be provided after completion of the engagement exercise.

Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and foster innovation
Reduce inequality within and among countries
Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, sea and marine resources for sustainable development
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels
Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development
Established in 2015, the UN SDGs are 17 global goals designed to address current global challenges, including those related to climate change, social inequality and well-being, aiming to create a more sustainable future for all by 2030.
The 17 SDGs are integrated - that is, they recognise that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.
