Since 2013, Green Council has designated the United Nations' World Environment Day on the 5th of June as "Hong Kong Green Day" to raise public awareness on environmental protection, and it has become a major annual environmental event in Hong Kong.

Innter-School Activity and Contests
In alignment with the United Nations World Environment Day on June 5th each year, Green Council has organised Hong Kong Green Day since 2013.
This year, we are hosting two "Go Green, Act Green" Inter-School Competitions to promote World Environment Day and Hong Kong Green Day—"Waves of Change: For a Sustainable Hong Kong"—among all primary and secondary students across Hong Kong.
